How to stay young forever? Stay away from these stimulants!

smoke-drink-main-dWrinkles, discolourations and dry skin are not the only imperfections that can be caused by stimulants. Cigarettes, alcohol and caffeine can also have a very negative effect on our entire body. How will they affect the condition of our complexion?

Cigarettes

Did you know that smoking one cigarette destroys up to 100 grams of vitamin C in our system? Vitamin C has a huge impact on the production of collagen, thanks to which the skin is young, firm and smooth. What’s more, with age, cells produce less and less collagen, and each cigarette strengthens the appearance of wrinkles on the face. In addition, a massive amount of free radicals get into the body when inhaling the smoke. These in turn cause damage to the DNA, which makes the body age faster.

Alcohol

Can you believe that one serving of alcohol deprives the body of vitamin B and folic acid? Moreover, regular consumption of alcohol destroys the vitamin and mineral economy. Deficiency of vitamin B causes a decrease in mental performance and deterioration of the condition of the skin and hair. Dehydration, which accompanies this, leads to drying of skin and hair, weakening of collagen and elastin fibres, the formation of wrinkles and discolouration. Alcohol promotes the cracking of blood vessels. In addition, colourful drinks such as wine and beer are considered a source of empty calories – they increase body fat.

Caffeine

It is present in coffee, coca-cola, energy drinks, tea and chocolate. For busy people, it is a great way to regain energy, which is also associated with an increase in blood sugar. Unfortunately, too frequent consumption of products rich in caffeine leads to the decrease in B complex vitamins, vitamin C, zinc and other beneficial substances. This, in turn, results in faster skin ageing, greater susceptibility to damage to the epidermis and worsening of the body’s condition.
