Therefore, they are a valuable component of cosmetics for capillary skin. What’s more, flavonoids play an important role in capturing and eliminating free radicals, which prevents skin ageing.
Essential oils
Essential oils support regenerative processes, thanks to which the skin looks younger and the hair is stronger and more elastic. Essential oils, regardless of their type, have disinfecting, bactericidal and anti-inflammatory properties. They improve the blood supply to the skin and, as a result, its colour. Essential oils affect the sense of smell and if properly selected, they can stimulate, calm down or improve the mood, therefore they have found application in the perfumery industry.

Their basic task is to facilitate the penetration of nutrients into the skin. Saponins can be found in soaps, facial cleansers, make-up removers, toners and shower gels.

Fitohormones are substances resembling the work of female sex hormones. They eliminate free radicals and delay skin ageing processes. In addition, they accelerate the regeneration of the epidermis and the production of hyaluronic acid, and thus – provide the skin with hydration. Phytohormones act soothingly and anti-inflammatory. They have found application in cosmetics for mature skin care, because they widen blood vessels, improve blood circulation of the skin and nourish it.
