What is salt scrub?

Salt scrub is perceived as a type of mechanical exfoliation. The most important here are its abrasive particles that remove dead skin cells. Different kinds of salt are used, but the most popular of them are: Epsom salt, Dead Sea salt, Himalayan salt.

What’s more, it provides the skin with necessary ingredients: potassium, magnesium, calcium. Also, salt scrub stimulates the production of collagen and elastin and has anti-cellulite properties. Salt used in a hot bath relaxes, refreshes and soothes the body.

To prepare the salt scrub you will need: a teaspoon of coconut oil, two teaspoons of Himalayan salt and a few drops of your favorite essential oil. How to prepare it, then? All you need to do it mix all ingredients ands transfer the paste to the jar.

How to use the salt scrub?

Apply a small amount to moistened skin and massage. Pay more attention to your elbows, knees and heels – the skin on those parts is quite thick. Remove the scrub with water and then moisturise the skin. Handmade cosmetics should be used once or twice a week for about 5 to 10 minutes.
